Problem
I chose to outline the pressures around hormonal contraceptive often seen as a safety blanket and security against pregnancy. The pressure to take hormonal contraceptives can arise from the societal expectation that women should actively manage and control their fertility and that it is not effective enough to expect the man to bring the condom.
Solution
Beyond providing protection, Contradom educates both genders on available contraceptive methods eradicating the stigma associated with condoms and humorously recounting women’s experiences with this contraceptive. Designed to target young adults in their twenties, the objective is to convey that men can actively contribute to better control in intimate relationships, as their available options are not as unfavourable as they might perceive when in comparison. Promoting the expectation of dual responsibility.
